I completely tune out the construction sounds I hear at work all day. It has become the white noise to my days. It reflects the progress of the development around me. It's even a little exciting.
But laying in bed this morning, listening to drilling through my open bedroom window at the single-family house across the street is driving me crazy.
Of course, that's the difference. The sounds at work I expect. I can avoid them by going into a back office. And at work I'm not trying to sleep.
