"I think one of the big misconceptions is that there is a problem with the planet. The real question we should be asking ourselves is what is the fate of humanity. Are we going to be a bad biological experiment on this planet. It doesn't matter how beautiful our art is...how great our poetry is...how much we love our families. You violate natural law and that is the end of the story. So we need to start getting a clue about what the real problem is. It's not about the whales anymore. It's about us and our continued existence on this planet. That's the bottom line."
