What good reasons to celebrate!

Personal celebrations in a post-to-come, I have learned in the past few minutes that there are two super-random reasons to celebrate this week!

First, tomorrow is International Talk Like A Pirate Day.

Seriously? Seriously! 'nuff said.

Second, today is the 25th birthday of the emoticon, or :-)! Those who interact with me here, on myspace, facebook, through email or through SMS know I'm a big fan of the emoticon. I know they're overused, and even a little cheesey - but they're helpful in conveying a pleasant nature over these otherwise sterile forms of communication. If you can't see me smile - and I smile a lot - then I want to let you know that I'm smiling.
