Bowl-a-thon for Solid Ground

Hello,

I'm participating in a bowl-a-thon on Saturday, April 26th for Solid Ground (formerly the Fremont Public Association). I've volunteered for them at Marra Farms, their community garden, a few times - they donate all of their fresh, organic, locally grown produce to a local food bank. Solid Ground is a fantastic organization and, let's face it, bowling is fun!

The money raised in the bowl-a-thon benefits their Food Security for Children program.

Food Security for Children (FSC) works to eliminate infant and toddler hunger and malnutrition by providing age-appropriate, high-nutrition foods and essential baby supplies to low-income families through Seattle food banks. FSC also strives to prevent hunger-related problems by connecting expectant and new mothers with nutrition education—and the community resources they need to take care of themselves and raise healthy children.

If you'd like to make a tax-deductible donation, you can make a check out to Solid Ground. The non-profit tax ID is 23-7421892. Unfortunately, they do not have a place to make donations for the bowl-a-thon online, but you can snail mail or hand your donation to me, and I will turn it in by hand on the 26th. They will also follow up with a thank you and receipt for your records.
