mispronunciations and tangents

you know how there are some words you come across and even though you know how to pronounce them correctly, you find your internal dialgue butchering them slightly?

like, whenever i read the word "segue" i hear in my head "seg-ew" before my synapses take a split second to fire and correct myself.

and then as i continue to read, my brain wanders and starts thinking about Segways and how silly they are. then i might picture Gob on one.

then, before you know it, i'm thinking of other words i know but might mispronouce. like greenwich. (what? it doesn't sound like sandwich?) or worchestshire.
